PSM PRESS STATEMENT:
 18 APRIL 2013

AZMIN ALI BLOCKS PKR SURAT
WATIKAH FOR KOTA DAMANSARA AND SUNGAI SIPUT SEAT !

AZMIN ALI BLOCKS SURAT WATIKAH FOR KOTA DAMANSARA AND SUNGAI SIPUT SEAT
 PR PLEASE TARGET YOUR ENEMY
THE FIGHT IS AGAINST BN !
PSM is deeply disturbed to learn that the latest bullying tactics being employed by PKR’s Azmin Ali against PSM’s two winning seat is to hold back the surat watikah. Azmin Ali now wants PSM to withdraw from the Semenyih and Jelapang seat.
PSM maintains that the Semenyih seat is a PSM seat and never before contested by any PKR member. PSM has agreed to use the PKR logo in order to fulfil PR’s condition but now Azmin has used a racial card to deny PSM the seat stating that it must be contested by a Malay from PKR. As for Jelapang, the matter has been left in the hands of credible civil society movement who have come forward to mediate. PSM has agreed to their proposal and will adhere to the condition set by them and not condition imposed by Azmin Ali or DAP.
PSM calls upon PR as the “Government in waiting” to focus their efforts in winning Putrajaya and not go into seat grabbing and creating a hostile environment among its supporters before the election. PKR should focus in maintaining a one to one fight with BN and stop encroaching into seats they have never contested before.
PSM has compromised enough and will not compromise any further. If PKR does not give their surat watikah to use their logo, then we will issue our own and stand under our own banner since we are a registered party. It appears to us now that PKR is not very interested to win these seats but would rather give away these seats to BN.
On the part of PSM, we would continue to support PR in all other seats contested by PR. We condemn any attempt made by the Registrar to deregister the DAP. In fact the ROS is attempting to confuse the voters before the nomination day. We stand in solidarity with DAP on this issue.

We will soldier on with the struggle.

You dont need to reiterate that PSM will support PR anywhere. You in or you out, nothing affected. Leave Semenyih or PSM will then have to leave the Kota Damansara and Sungai Siput because of your stupidity. And please be informed that, PKR was not in contest at 2004 in Semenyih, but PAS was there to represent PKR as we at the time were Barisan Alternatif. This is our seat forever. Be realistic to the Semenyih's politic, as people here want to rule the state and federal not to be a 'pembangkang' like PSM anymore!
